A four-day comedy festival is returning to New Orleans just in time for Pride Month.
The LGBTLOL Queer Comedy Fest will celebrate its fourth year in 2025 with more comedians, more shows and more venues than ever before.
The festival, which features a series of comedy shows, begins Thursday, May 29, and ends on Sunday, June 1.
Founder Ryan Rogers told WDSU that the multi-day event is now the largest queer comedy fest in the country.
“(We want the comedians to) know they’re in a safe place,” Rogers said. “This is a place built on self-acceptance and self-expression. When you’re here, we want to make sure you have a stage, a spotlight and a microphone to have your voice amplified.”
Comedy shows are happening at a variety of venues in the city, including: The Bourbon Pub and Parade, The Howlin’ Wolf, Oz, Urban South Brewery and The Sports Drink Comedy Club.
