On Friday (May 30), Shakira‘s D.C. Pride Concert at Nationals Park was canceled, following the last minute cancellation of her Boston show the previous night. A statement from Nationals Park reads: “Due to complications with the previous show in Boston, Shakira’s full tour production cannot be transported to Washington, D.C. in time for her scheduled performance at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 31. As a result, the D.C. show has been canceled.” Shakira’s scheduled show at Boston’s Fenway Park on Thursday (May 29) was cancelled shortly before showtime “due to unforeseen circumstances,” with Live Nation issuing the following statement: “During a routine pre-show check, structural elements were identified as not being up to standard, so the shows were canceled.” Those structural issues also led to the cancellation of Friday’s Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn concert at the same venue. Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is set to resume in Atlanta on Monday (June 2). (Billboard)
