History has been made in Ponchatoula as they crowned their first Black Strawberry Festival queen over the weekend.
Aubrey Brumfield was named Strawberry Festival Queen 54, becoming the first Black woman to ever serve in that role in Ponchatoula.
An exciting moment for the small Northshore city, Brumfield was seen with other festival royalty after Saturday night’s pageant.
Congratulations were extended to her, with many expressing excitement to see her represent Ponchatoula in such a great way.
