The New Orleans Pelicans have added a first round pick in next week’s NBA draft, according to an ESPN NBA insider.
Shams Charania reports that the Indiana Pacers traded their No. 23 pick and the rights to Mojave King to the Pelicans for Indiana’s own 2026 first-round pick.
The Pelicans have two first-round picks in the draft.
They hold their own pick, which is No. 7 overall.
In the latest ESPN mock draft they have the Pelicans taking Oklahoma point guard Jeremiah Fears with the seventh pick.
The mock draft also predicts the Pelicans will take Colorado State shooting guard Nique Clifford at the No. 23 pick.
The first round of the NBA draft is June 25.
