A former Lafourche Parish Correctional officer has been arrested for alleged sexual contact with a minor.
Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Luke Vizier, 26, of Cut Off.
On June 26, an investigation began after a complaint was filed with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office in reference to allegations about Vizier having sexual contact with a minor in April 2023.
Vizier was placed on administrative leave when the investigation began, pending the outcome.
An arrest warrant was obtained for his arrest on July 3.
Vizier was charged with sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
His bail is set at $150,000.
Vizier was employed with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for 15 months, which ended upon his arrest.
This is an ongoing investigation.
