One local church is trading fireworks for a helping hand. The Victory Church in Metairie will host its 36th annual Feed the Multitudes in honor of the Fourth of July.
The daylong event offers entertainment, hot meals, groceries, shoes, manicures and haircuts at no cost. Church members expect to meet the needs of nearly 5,000 people from the Greater New Orleans area.
Victory Chuch will offer free shuttle service at the following locations:

Buses arrive at 9 a.m. The buses will depart the church at 2 p.m. and return to the same pick-up locations.
Doors open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5708 Airline Drive.
