Tropical Storm Chantal came ashore in the Carolinas late Saturday. It’s now a post-tropical cyclone and has winds of 30 mph and is moving northeast at 17 mph.
What we know:
- Chantal will continue to produce heavy rainfall across portions of the Northeastern United States coast. An elevated risk for flash flooding will continue.
- Dangerous surf and rip current are possible along the east coast
