Gas leak in Slidell under control, street re-opened

The gas leak in Slidell is under control and the leak has been shut off.

St. Tammany Fire Protection said N. Pine Street is now open to traffic but residents are asked to exercise cause, as Atmos Crews will still be working in the area.

8 homes were evacuated due to the leak.
