A Houma man has been arrested after an investigation into the exploitation of minors.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Parfait, 42, of Houma after a joint investigation was conducted by the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
During the investigation, detectives learned that Parfait made plans to travel from his residence in Houma to Grand Isle with the intent to engage in sexual intercourse with a minor.
Parfait is being charged with one count of computer-aided solicitation of a minor, one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, and one count of attempted carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
This is an ongoing investigation.
