A retired New Orleans judge will be returning to the bench next week.
Judge Franz Zibilich will join retired Judge Calvin Johnson to split Judge Darryl Derbigny’s docket in the Orleans Criminal District Court Section J.
This comes after Derbigny retired following scrutiny over his backlogged docket.
Ziblich served as a District Court Judge in New Orleans before retiring in 2020.
His first day back on the bench will be Monday.
