The first Trader Joe’s location in New Orleans opened Thursday.
The store at 2501 Tulane Ave. opened at 9 a.m., doing so in true New Orleans style with a second line and opening ceremony.
Shoppers were allowed to enter the store after the ceremony.
This location is one of two Trader Joe’s locations opening in New Orleans.
The second location is in Uptown and will be at the corner of Napoleon Avenue and Freret Street.
Trader Joe’s is a national grocery store chain known for low prices and unique products.
