Hammond police have arrested three people for an underage drinking incident in Hammond.
On Aug. 8, police said they began investigating a potential missing person incident, after clothes and personal effects were found on a sidewalk along East Charles Street and North Holly Street,
According to police, the items belonged to Richard Clementi, 18, of Slidell, who was asleep in the sanctuary of the First Christian Church.
Clementi told police that he had gone out with friends to The Brown Door Bar, located at 124 North Cate Street, and had been able to purchase alcohol from the bar staff.
A search warrant was conducted at the bar, and they were able to get video footage from the night.
Detectives found that 116 total sales of alcohol were made to people under the age of 21 in a three-hour span.
Detectives also said they observed bar staff failing to notify management or security when a person under 21 consumed alcohol directly in front of them.
Two bartenders, Sydney Elise Mitchell, 20, of Gulfport and Michael Samuel Cuccia, 22, of Mandeville, were both arrested and charged with unlawful sales to persons under 21 and letting a disorderly place.
Tristian Michael Stranvinsty, 21, of Slidell, was also arrested after he was seen on video purchasing alcoholic beverages from others under 21.
He is being charged with 10 counts of unlawful purchase of alcoholic beverages for persons under 21.
The owner of The Brown Door Bar, Patrick Lynn Broussard, 57, of Port Allen, was issued a misdemeanor summons for letting a disorderly place.
Clementi was also issued a misdemeanor summons for unlawful purchase and public possession of alcoholic beverages.
Police have notified the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) of this investigation; additional administrative action is possible.
