A boil water advisory in place for Slidell residents in the Cross Gates Water System has been lifted.
The boil water advisory was issued Tuesday due to an electrical issue that caused a drop in chlorine residual.
The Louisiana Department of Health tested water samples and officials say the water is safe to use and consume.
Customers in this area no longer need to boil their water.
