A firefighter in Slidell sustained minor injuries after battling a fire on Friday evening.
St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1 says they responded to a residential structure fire off City Drive on Friday.
When they arrived, they found fire throughout the room.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire. No one was home at the time.
One firefighter sustained minor burns to the shoulder.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
