A strong cold front is currently moving through the region now and will bring much cooler, drier, and windier conditions with it.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for all locations until 3pm Saturday as winds could gust over 30 mph.
Due to the combination of strong winds, low humidity, and lack of recent rain, a Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Northshore, parts of the River Parishes, and south Mississippi. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Low temperatures will fall into the low 50s on the Northshore and the mid to upper 50s for the rest of the area Saturday morning.
Lots of sun throughout the day Saturday with high temperatures in the low 70s.
A WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day will be up through Saturday due to the Wind Advisory and Red Flag Warning. High temperatures will remain in the 70s through Tuesday before warming up to the low 80s Wednesday-Friday under mostly sunny skies.
