Sunshine sticks around Friday, with highs reaching 80 to 86 degrees. Rain stays out of the forecast as we head into the weekend.
Cool again tonight
Skies stay clear tonight. Northshore temperatures will drop to 49 to 51 degrees, while Southshore lows will range from 57 to 59.
Bring a light jacket if you will be outside late tonight or early Saturday.
A dry weekend with more breeze
A weak cold front moves through Saturday, bringing slightly cooler and drier air without rain. Saturday’s highs will reach 79 to 83 degrees.
East to northeast winds increase this weekend, especially near the coast and over the water. Sunshine continues Sunday, with warm afternoon temperatures and another cool night.
Fire concerns continue
Dry grass and other plants can catch fire easily after the recent stretch without rain. Low afternoon humidity keeps fire concerns elevated, even where winds remain light.
Stronger weekend winds could help fires spread where they overlap the driest conditions. Avoid outdoor burning and follow local burn bans.
Rougher conditions for boaters
Small Craft Advisories begin for offshore waters early Saturday and expand to more coastal waters later Saturday morning. Boaters should plan for stronger east winds and rougher seas through the weekend.
Still waiting on rain
High pressure keeps the dry pattern in place into next week. No rain is expected in the seven-day forecast, with plenty of sunshine, warm afternoons and cool nights.
