A sunny, comfortable weekend is ahead for southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Whether you’re heading to a football game or spending time outside, rain won’t get in the way of your plans.
Saturday: Sunshine and low humidity
Highs today will range from 76 to 82 degrees, with sunshine and low humidity.
Dry weather continues into the evening for anyone heading to Krewe of BOO! Temperatures will drop after sunset, so bring a light layer if you get chilly easily.
Tonight: Cooler on the Northshore
Clear skies will allow temperatures to fall overnight. Lows will range from 50 to 55 degrees on the Northshore and 56 to 62 degrees on the Southshore.
Sunday: Another pleasant day
Sunday brings more sunshine, with highs ranging from 75 to 81 degrees. The morning will be cool before temperatures warm into the afternoon.
Dry weather raises fire concerns
The stretch of dry weather is good for outdoor plans, but it also leaves vegetation increasingly dry. Low humidity and occasional breezes can help fires spread.
Avoid outdoor burning and follow any local burn bans.
Looking ahead
The dry pattern continues into the workweek, with warm afternoons and cooler nights. Little to no rain is expected through much of next week.
