Some Louisiana residents will have an opportunity to get assistance on their electricity bills.
Entergy is offering a one-time $100 credit on electricity bills to eligible customers in Louisiana, excluding Orleans Parish, through a program funded by a $2 million donation from the United Way.
The program is designed to provide relief to households that do not meet the criteria for traditional assistance programs.
According to the United Way, 49% of Louisiana households are struggling to make ends meet.
Eligible customers will receive an email with a link to an application, which will open on Wednesday.
