A judge in the 22nd Judicial District issued a temporary restraining order on Friday, halting TV advertisements from Three Rivers PAC that targeted St. Tammany sheriff candidate Daniel Seuzeneau.
The ads attack Seuzeneau’s relationship with a local car dealership and makes claims he was of profiting off from his relationship.
Court records show the judge ordered the PAC to instruct all broadcasters to stop airing the ads immediately.
WDSU reviewed court records but found it was not immediately clear on what basis the judge signed the order.
The PAC has been ordered to appear in court on Monday at 9 a.m.
