The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a fight among multiple inmates broke out inside the jail Sunday night.
According to a statement issued by the sheriff’s office, the fight began around 5:26 p.m.
One inmate was injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No further information was made available by the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff said investigators are working to identify all inmates involved in the fight and any weapons used during the incident.
According to the sheriff’s office, all responsible individuals will be held accountable.
