Incumbent Tyrin Truong will face No-Party candidate Michael Corey O’Ree after neither were able to secure 50 percent of the vote.
Truong secured 46 percent of the vote and O’Ree received 31 percent of the vote.
Truong is currently facing criminal charges after he was indicted and accused of malfeasance in office, public intimidation, and theft.
Truong is accused of intentionally performing his duties as mayor in an unlawful manner, and permitting other employees to do the same, according to the indictment.
His arraignment is scheduled just days after the Nov. 3 election.
This comes as Bogalusa has struggled with finances. The state put in place a fiscal administrator in 2025.
The runoff will be on Dec. 12.
