A pervasive odor in St. Bernard Parish has led to complaints from residents and action from parish officials.
Several residents have shared on social media that the smell has spread to parts of Chalmette and Arabi.
A parish official said the odor is coming from a state-owned property and that the parish has contacted the attorney general’s office to explore whether any local ordinances can be enforced.
The official also said the company responsible is working on changes to address the issue.
