A woman narrowly escaped a vehicle fire at a gas station Wednesday afternoon in Slidell.
The St. Tammany Fire Protection District 1 posted the dramatic video online.
It shows the woman pulling into the gas station at the corner of Robert Blvd. and North Blvd. to get gas when the vehicle shut off and started smoking.
She was able to get out and escape as the business owner quickly helped move her a safe distance from the vehicle.
A Louisiana State Police trooper who happened to be in the area also began attempting to extinguish the fire before fire units arrived.
Thankfully, there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
