Sabrina Carpenter is set to star alongside classic Muppet characters in a new musical special, The Muppet Show, which is set to premiere on February 4 on Disney+ and ABC to mark the beloved show’s 50th anniversary. In a teaser trailer released on Friday (January 2), Carpenter shares some playful moments with Miss Piggy, including the duo wearing matching outfits. “You are an icon,” Carpenter tells Piggy in a pep talk featured in the clip, with the legendary Muppet responding, “You’re too sweet — go on.” Carpenter and Miss Piggy have a history, as the Grammy-winning pop superstar “arrested” the famous character during the final show of her Short n’ Sweet Tour in Los Angeles in November. The special is executive produced by Seth Rogen – who also appears in the show – and it follows recent Muppet projects like The Muppets Mayhem (2023), Muppets Haunted Mansion (2021), and Muppets Now (2020).
