Two 17-year-old Texas girls are graduating with their master’s degrees in New Orleans.
Aria and Lyla Marshall, both from Humble, Texas, were part of a homeschool co-op and excelled through homeschooling.
They were able to accelerate their education through a master’s program.
Both walked in a ceremony at the Smoothie King Center.
Aria graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in accounting, and Lyla with a degree in technology and instructional design.
After graduation, Lyla plans to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a teacher, and Aria is hoping to join her father’s small business as an accountant.
Both have to wait to get their proper licensure testing, which they can do after they turn 18 in August.
