An Angie man was arrested for sexual crimes against two children.
Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Alexander Mischler, 30, of Angie after they received a call complaint referencing the alleged sexual abuse of a 5-year-old.
The child was sent to a local hospital, where a sexual assault exam was performed and a forensic interview was conducted.
Based on the evidence obtained, an arrest warrant was obtained for Mischler’s arrest, as well as a search warrant for the residence where the assault allegedly occurred.
On June 9, authorities executed both warrants at the residence.
According to deputies, Mischler refused to come to the door, but was eventually taken into custody.
Detectives continued their investigation and on June 12, another interview was conducted with an 8-year-old child and more evidence was found.
Mischler is being charged with two counts of 1st degree rape-victim under age 13 and one count of oral sexual battery-victim under age 13.
He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
This is an ongoing investigation due to the possibility of more victims coming forward.
