Greater St. Stephen Ministries is inviting the public to a Day of Empowerment — an event focused on uplifting the community with free resources, inspiration, and practical tools for families.
Special guests include Dr. Willie Wilson, entrepreneur and philanthropist, and Donavin Boyd, CEO of The Boyd Funeral Home. Attendees will hear a live conversation with Bishop T. Delbert Robinson and Boyd about key topics such as wills, insurance, legacy building, and end-of-life planning. The goal is to empower individuals with both spiritual insight and actionable knowledge.
In addition to the discussion, the church will distribute free Shell gas cards and Winn-Dixie grocery gift cards while supplies last. The event also features live music, food for purchase, and fellowship.
Public officials, including New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and District E Councilmember Oliver Thomas, are expected to attend in support.
The event takes place at Greater St. Stephen Ministries, 5600 Read Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana, 70127, on June 14, 2025, at 1 p.m.
