A New Orleans man is celebrating a remarkable milestone!
Elder Robert Martin Sr., a lifelong resident of Algiers in New Orleans, celebrated his 100th birthday on Sunday with family, faith, and community.
Martin, a U.S. Army veteran, spent more than 25 years serving the city through the Sewerage and Water Board before retiring.
This morning, he was honored during a special church service recognizing his life and impact in the Algiers community.
Martin’s legacy includes nine children, 26 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
