New Orleans police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that happened Saturday night in New Orleans East.
Police said the crash happened around 9 p.m. near the intersection of North I-10 Service Road and Bundy Road.
According to police, a woman was walking before being hit by a white-color 2011 Infiniti car, which fled the scene without stopping.
New Orleans EMS confirmed the victim was dead on scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will confirm the cause of death and release the victim’s identity once the family has been notified.
