On Saturday (June 14), Remi Wolf creatively turned the cancellation of Bonnaroo into an unforgettable music experience at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, hosting a star-studded Superjam featuring surprise guests like Hayley Williams and Mt. Joy. Wolf and her guest artists performed a variety of covers of classic hits and special collaborations, while also paying tribute to the late Sly Stone with a rousing performance of “Family Affair” featuring Paramore guitarist Brian Robert Jones. Grouplove were also on hand to join with Wolf on covers of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Hall and Oates’ “Rich Girl.” The impromptu event was billed as “Remi Wolf’s Insanely Fire 1970s Pool Party Superjam,” the same as it originally appeared on the Bonnaroo lineup. Wolf brought all the musicians back out to the stage for an all-star jam session on Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September,” which brought the unique event to a lively conclusion. (Billboard)
