One of New Orleans’ biggest summer events is coming back to take over the French Quarter.
The New Orleans Red Dress Run is held annually on the second weekend of August. This year’s run is on Saturday.
The gates at Crescent Park will open at 9 a.m., and the race will start at 10:15 a.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit different charities.
Here’s what you need to know ahead of the Red Dress Run:
Registration:
Admission for the event is $89. Pre-registration is available online. All registration is done through PayPal.

Event start:
The Red Dress Run starts at Crescent Park and will continue through the neighborhood. Runners will line up on Esplanade Avenue for the start of the run.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and there will be live music.
Festivities will last the remainder of the day at local bars and restaurants.
