The Duke Blue Devils beat the Tulane Green Wave 17-3 to open the 2026 season.
The last time Tulane didn’t score a touchdown in a game was in 2019 against Auburn.
Tulane is now 1-10 against the ACC.
Mandeville star and Blue Devils running back Nate Sheppard ran wild against the Tulane defense.
Sheppard finished the game with 35 carries for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Tulane offense was an absolute mess from start to finish.
Starting quarterback Zeon Chriss-Gremillion was pulled after the first half after the leading the team to just 98 total yards of offense.
Chriss-Gremillion went 6/9 for 64 yards, with 44 yards coming on a pass to running back Maurice Turner.
Kadin Semonza replaced Chriss-Gremillion and it wasn’t that much better for the Tulane offense.
Semonza finished 11/21 for 140 yards, leading the Green Wave to their only points of the game.
The Tulane finished with 258 total yards of offense and went 3/14 on third down.
Tulane will host South Alabama next Saturday in its home opener.
