It’s hard to beat the forecast across the Gulf Coast over the next seven to 10 days.
If you have a wedding, festival or other outdoor plans this weekend, you’ve hit the weather jackpot. Conditions are looking gorgeous, with afternoon highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Overnight lows will fall into the lower 50s on the Northshore and the upper 50s to lower 60s on the South Shore.
No rain is expected over the next seven days. However, the prolonged dry stretch comes with an elevated fire danger. Ongoing drought conditions, low humidity and increasing winds this weekend could allow fires to start and spread quickly.
Burn bans are now in effect for 34 Louisiana parishes. Residents should avoid outdoor burning and use extra caution with anything that could create a spark.
