A large power outage was reported in Houma Thursday afternoon.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, the cause of the outage is unclear at this time.
Entergy’s power outage map shows more than 4,800 customers without power.
WDSU has reached out to Entergy and received this statement regarding restoration efforts:
“We are aware of the outage in the area. Crews are on site working to make repairs as quickly and safely as possible. At this time we anticipate customers being restored in the next 30 minutes.”
