A florist in St. Charles Parish is asking the community for help after a car crashed into her storefront weeks before opening.
Kaysea Tassara, owner of Flowers Near Me, a small flower shop in Boutte, Louisiana, shared that on Friday, Oct. 30, a car crashed into her store before leaving the scene and causing significant damage to the building.
Flowers Near Me was scheduled to open on Nov. 20, but due to the crash, the future is now uncertain.
Tassara is asking the community for help because the business insurance was not scheduled to become effective until Nov. 1.
They are now working to determine what expenses will be covered, who is responsible for various repairs, and what the financial impacts will be.
An online donation has been set up to help Tassara and her business.
No arrests have been made at this time, but authorities are investigating this incident.
