Cooler Weekend Ahead After Friday Night Cold Front
A stronger cold front is on the way, bringing a noticeable cooldown to the area this weekend. The front is expected to move through late Friday into Saturday morning.
Ahead of the front, clouds will pass through Friday as temperatures climb into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Saturday will remain mild, with highs in the mid-70s and some high-level clouds passing overhead.
Great weather for Beignet Festival and Bayou Bacchanal as well as LSU-Alabama Football in Death Valley.
Cooler air will settle in by Sunday. Morning lows in the lower 40s on the Northshore with afternoon highs reaching the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Skies will be partly to occasionally mostly cloudy, so there should still be some breaks of sunshine throughout the day.
The cooler conditions will make it feel more like fall, especially by Sunday.
