Two people have been indicted in connection with a deadly fentanyl overdose in Lacombe.
The St. Tammany Parish District Attorney said Paige Andrews, 27 and Dustin Carver, 25 both of Slidell face second-degree murder charges in the death of 26-year-old Dustin Banks.
The charges follow a six-month investigation by the district attorney’s opioid initiative and the DEA’s fentanyl overdose response team. Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court next week.
Andrews and Carver are scheduled for appearance in court before Judge John Keller on July 31, 2025.
