A Heat Advisory remains in effect for most of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi until 7pm this evening for heat index values up to 112.
Another heat advisory will be in effect Monday between 10am-7pm for heat index values up to 112.
An upper level high pressure system will continue to build across the region which is responsible for the rising temperatures and heat index.
This will keep high temperatures hot between 95-97 through Wednesday.
Moisture will increase across the area by the mid to latter part of the work week which help increase our rain chances and cool us down.
Rain chances will be at 60% for now Wednesday-Friday.
