GloRilla (real name Gloria Woods) was arrested in Georgia on Tuesday (July 22) for felony possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule one controlled substance. The arrest followed the investigation of a burglary at her home in Forsyth County, where officers had responded to a break-in around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (July 20). Three suspects fled the scene following gunfire from an occupant, though GloRilla was not home during the break-in. Law enforcement detected a strong odor of narcotics and obtained a search warrant, finding a significant amount of marijuana in her master bedroom closet. The Memphis rap star voluntarily turned herself in, posted a $22,260 bond, and was released the same day. The burglary suspects remain at large, while authorities continue to investigate. GloRilla recently performed at the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis over the weekend, and is preparing for her first-ever Glo Bash concert scheduled for Friday (July 25) in Memphis. (Billboard)
