New Orleans Police Department investigating Gert Town robbery

New Orleans police are investigating a robbery that happened Saturday night in Gert Town.

According to police, the suspects entered a business around 8:22 p.m. in the 8200 block of Earhart Boulevard and stole merchandise.

The victim approached the suspects and attempted to take a picture of their license plate as they were leaving.

The suspects then grabbed the victim’s phone and assaulted her.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.

Police said the car the suspects fled in was a red 4- door SUV with a missing front bumper.
