Flash Flood Warning in effect for parts of the Southshore until 6:45 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of the Southshore Thursday morning.

New Orleans and Jefferson Parish are under the warning until 6:45 a.m.

New Orleans announced that parking restrictions have been lifted and residents are allowed to park on the neutral ground.

Rain and storms moved into our area around midnight and are expected to linger up until 7 a.m. when the rain will move offshore.

Skies clear during the day Friday with highs mostly in the low 80s. There is a slight risk for severe storms Friday and Saturday, but it looks like the better risk is Saturday with the potential for locally heavy rain. The weather improves for Sunday.
